Half over...

Accounting for the holiday on Monday, this week is just buzzing by. With Open Studios the next two weekends, end of the school year, promotion, graduation, end of the year concerts...the different tempo of "summer" will be a welcome change.

This is the first morning in a few that our typical foggy sky pattern is showing itself. A little breeze, overcast, just a slight chill...but the marine layer isn't all that thick, so I expect to see the sun by mid-morning. Oddly, it's become an expected part of the summer here and one that gives its own unique comfort.

I look forward to these next few months. The mornings usually have a more relaxed character...I get out and walk early...and the days sort of mold themselves. Evening fires on the patio, summer fruit, day excursions with the kids (although that's rapidly changing as they get older)...all these things I so enjoy this time of year. Not to mention the new work I'd like to continue exploring with my cameras.

More thoughts rattling around in my brain, but the morning routine is calling...

Holga images...

My new found friend, the Holga. Now that I have a scanner that's able to accommodate the medium format negatives, my options have opened even further...like being able to make color prints on my own.

Connection...

There is no denying the profound nature of some connections...

It's been a while...

Just been busy. Now getting ready for East Bay Open Studios weekends in June. Here are a couple of pinhole images, made with my Mamiya 645 and a Finney body cap.
